You put your right hand in, you put your right hand out...

You put your right hand in
You put your right hand out
You put your right hand in
And you shake it all about
You do the Hoky Pokie
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about!

That is the first verse, then you repeat the verse over and over, using the left hand, then right foot, then the left foot then head, then 'your whole self.

So the last verse you go:
You put your whole self in
You put your whole self out
You put your whole self in
Then you shake it all about
You do the Hokey Pokey
Then you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about.

People do body motions while singing this song. They put their right hand in toward a circle or out in front of them, then put it behind them for the *out* part. . and then repeat with the other parts of the body when they are sung. And when they "put their right hand in and shake it all about" the part of the body that is being sung about is "shaken all about" by the participants.

I do not know Hindi, so maybe some can translate for you.

And there is a joke about this song. It is regarding LIFE. . and people say, "What if the Hokey Pokey *IS* what it's all about?"
